How To Download Free Music

Once that appears, you should select from the options "Save target as", and click it with your left mouse button.

This will then bring up another popup box like the one shown below...

It is in this box that you decide where abouts on your PC (or on a floppy disk etc.) you'd like to save the track, and you also have the option to change it's name if you'd like.

So if it's called something a bit random like "OS255-055-673" you could change it to "Nirvana" or similar to make it easier for you in finding the track you're looking for from your hard drive at a later point.

Then simply click the "OK" button, and you've just downloaded your first piece of free music.

You'll know you've done it right when a screen a bit like this one appears - and this shows the file is actually downloading to your computer as you want. It'll disappear when the download is complete if you like...

I told you it was easy, didn't I?!

One last hint that you might find of use is to create a folder or folders specially on your computer for saving your free music downloads into.

To do this, right click on the "Start" button you find in Windows, then select the "Explore" option and right click it.

On this next screen, left click on the (C:) in the left-hand window which represents your hard drive.

Then right click anywhere in the right hand pane to bring up a new popup box.

Choose the "New" option, and then from the secondary list of options, the "Folder" option.

This then creates your new folder for you, which you can rename to anything you like, and save all your precious music downloads into.
